2nd Class Power Plant Engineer CoGen

Participates in the operation and maintenance of a combined heat plant (CHP) station during an assigned shift; cleans,maintains, repairs and operates steam generators and their auxiliary equipment such as oil burners, boiler feed pumps, flow meter, compressors, generators, and other power plant equipment; makes rounds of Power Plant during his/her watch, instructs plant personnel in Power Plant operating procedures and proper safety procedures to be used when equipment is taken out of service; keeps station diary log on his/her assigned watch recording gauge readings, fuel consumed, power generated, kilowatts purchased, water pumped, maintenance work performed and any other pertinant data; performs all other related duties as requested.
